Case Study Analysis
As a high school student, I noticed that girls in sports Alberta were still dominated by men’s sports, even though the stats showed women’s sports were growing. I noticed that women’s sports coaches were underpaid, under appreciated, and underrepresented, compared to their male counterparts. I was motivated to start an initiative to bridge this gap. As a 16-year-old, I started my initiative, Transitioning Girls in Sports Alberta, with the hope of making a change in this space.
